I specialize in custom snares, restoration, and repairs. If you want a snare drum made to order with custom specs, contact me and I’ll send you a basic price list and we can go ahead from there.
If you are interested in a full set, I can also do that. However, I am simply not a big enough operation to participate in endorsement deals.
As you can see in the photos, I have a bit of experience restoring old drums and drum sets. Pricing depends on how much work has to be done, and the price of repair / replacement parts.
I can generally repair most problems with snare drums, drum sets, and hardware. I can repair / replace damaged parts, as well as repair minor shell damage, restore finishes, re-cover drums etc.
I also stock common drum heads, strainers, and other basic parts. Some repairs may be done on-site with school or studio accounts.

Kent Drums from the 50's and 60's were made in Kenmore, NY, near my hometown of Buffalo. I never had one as kid, but recently I found a steel Kent shell. But instead of finding the missing original parts and restoring the drum to the 1950's look, I decided to use modern lugs, (in the same holes) hoops, and strainer. It sounds better than expected. In fact, I expect to use it on my next jazz gig.

Rocky's Music Studio in Rensselaer NY has a 5 x 14, 8 ply Keller Maple Shell, modern tube lugs, in a classic silver sparkle finish.
Off Center Records on Bleeker St in Utica has a VS Custom Snare in maple ply natural finish, 4 x 14. Very crisp and tight.
Big Apple Music in New Hartford has a VS Custom Vintage Snare. Vintage style shell with tube lugs and white marine pearl finish. Ludwig Millennium strainer.
I recently restored a 64 Gretsch Progressive Jazz kit. Sizes are 14, 12, 14, and 20. As far as I know, the color is accurate to 1964, called Blue Pearl in the Gretsch catalog of the time. For sale? No...these are keepers, "the great Gretsch sound" and they are now in the capable hands...and feet, of my son in Brooklyn.

Throne, bass drum pedal, snare stand, hi-hat stand, and 2 cymbal stands supplied. (If you want to use more cymbals, you'll have to bring more stands)
Yea drummers, you just got to bring your own cymbals and stick bag.

Just finished...a new VS Custom Drum Set. Toms: 8 ply Keller maple shells, sized 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, bass drum: 10 ply Keller maple, 18 x 22. All wrapped in black glitter. Mount hardware from DW.
